Terms of Service
Operated by American Apostille. Effective October 31, 2026.
The service
American Apostille is a document authentication assistant available through Muse. It can look up what a U.S. document needs to be accepted in another country — an apostille or embassy legalization, and which authority issues it — and it can start a service inquiry so American Apostille can follow up with you.
Information, not legal advice
Lookup results are general information drawn from the published guidance at apostillellc.com and the public Hague Convention status table. They are not legal advice. Requirements can change, and the issuing authorities and the receiving country's authorities make the final decision on every document; no acceptance by a foreign authority is guaranteed.
No orders or payments through the connector
The connector provides information and takes inquiries only. No service is ordered, engaged, or paid for through the connector, and using the connector does not by itself create a client relationship. Engaging American Apostille for document services happens separately, through the contact form at apostillellc.com or by phone.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide in an inquiry, and for the documents themselves. The connector does not authenticate, certify, or issue any document.
Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, American Apostille's liability arising from use of the connector is limited to the fees you paid for use of the connector in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated; the current version will always be posted at this address. Questions: Jared@ApostilleLLC.com or (848) 467-7740.
